Job Overview:
Hydro Tech Inc. is looking for a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This position offers a unique blend of in-person and remote work, contributing to a greener future through hydroelectric projects. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, operation, and maintenance of our systems, ensuring they meet the highest performance and sustainability standards.

Eligibility Criteria for Mechanical Engineer Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Research the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
- Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures.
- Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems.
- Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
- Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
- Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers, and review and approve designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Assess business opportunities and develop strategies.
- Develop risk management plans.
- Lead and instruct groups.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the hydroelectric industry.
- Certifications:
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
- Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) is an asset.
- Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Windows, MS Office, MS Excel, and Primavera.
- Experience with the installation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment or facilities.
- Knowledge of quality assurance or control, project management, project coordination, and project planning.
- Specialization in hydroelectric projects and mechanical engineering technology.
